Guest
Im in agreement with Mod. Im hearing some awesome trance at the minute, that out does anything Ive ever heard before. DJs are trying alot harder to find "better" records (well thats how it seems to me) And it feels as though the sound has matured alot. I think 2003 has been a wikid year for trance. CTW Members lukemn Posted November 14, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted November 14, 2003 Hard to say. I remeber a lot of tunes like Cafe Del Mar and Age of Love from 1992, but I wasn't into clubbing then! I'd say some of the trance about in the last few years has been brilliant, I've had some fab nights at Bedrock and Gatecrasher @ Heaven. [censored] it, can't decide on a year!!!! I must admit there are some blindin tunes, but my fav era has to be my GC days just nothing comes close to it. As you had the atmosphere and the music. But you're right there are some top notch trance coming out. My boss is well into his trance and loves making it hence why i've started to really like it again. CTW Members LiquidEyes Posted November 16, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted November 16, 2003 If you'd asked me a year ago, I would have said 98-99 (most of my trance music collection is from that era). But despite phases of obsessive progressive / deep house / drum & bass / techno fanaticism, I've really got back into trance this year. I've been very much inspired by some classic nights at Slinky and Serious, where they really crossover several different styles. I must say my thing at the moment is a fusion of techno/tech-house and trance. Tough-edged, but still uplifting and hypnotic!
