think it would be better if Jules didn't play there..it's ridiculously crowded when he does, and perfect when he doesn't....then his brother runs serious...so it ain't ever going to happen...

Yet another stormer of a night. No word of a lie, there were at least 40 of us there and personally I didnt think it was that crowded.

Simon Patterson played the best set of the night, but I thought the music was consistently good all night. Was allowed to dance behind the dex again for part of Simon's set, its awesome up there watching the crowd 'av it. Also danced next to the DJ booth in the Dusted Arch whilst Rebekah played... she's a babe but a [censored] good DJ too, she knows just how to build the crowd up and then drop a monster of a tune time after time...

How do Serious manage to keep it so good month after month? Oh, they've only got Eddie playing next month...

Same verdict: extremely crowded but fantastic nonetheless! thumbs.gif

I thought JFK was the man of the night. Simon Patterson's last set was also pretty good. I actually enjoyed most of what I heard from Judge Jules too, apart from his really dodgy bootlegs (with vocals that blatantly don't suit the tune they've been glued onto). Anne Savage was all over the show - she played a few really good tunes but it was inconsistent and didn't feel like a proper "set".

Top tunes in the funky room too (spent an hour or two in there). yay.gif

As usual, a very smiley happy crowd and great atmosphere (apart from some mardy pissed bird who fell over, lashed out at me when I tried to help her up, then staggered into my mate Rob, causing him to spill his water all over her!) nut.gif

That aside, a great night all-round. smile.gif
