I lived behind the union on Fitzroy Street for a couple of years, and then Richmond Road and Richmond Crescent, before moving to the other side of town. I did love it there although I couldn't go back to living in Cathays/Roath, unless it was by the lake. Which halls were you in last year?

I had a great view out of window as well. Better than constant traffic which ive got this yr. I also hardly ever open my curtains cos of security. I dont want people looking in to see all my mixing equipment and laptop etc. One time i had my curtains open and this dodgy looking black geezer walked past my window 3 times in 2 mins looking in each time. Since then my curtains have remained shut almost constatnly unless im in.

I was in Uni Halls, hell of a walk in to college, but a great sense of community. Me and the other half were both there in the first year, and our wedding was the first official uni hall wedding/reunion!

 

That's one of the main problems with living in that area, such a high crime rate. WHy bother breaking into a family home where you could get a couple of tellies and one computer when you can get into a student house (with crap security) five of everything! That's another reason we wouldn't move back to that side of town.
