from reading the article i think they were all doing drugs at the time, im not sure which ones tho and whether they affected them or not. If they did it was still a fcked up thing to do. Like wot michael alig did to that dealer angel in the states

robbing a house/car/bag/granny bashing..........for a scag heads next fix?

downloading child porn...........to satisfie a perverse mind?

date rape..............................to satisfie ones sexual needs?

child abduction......................unbearable need to have a baby?

beating a child.......................because they cant control anger?

 

 

all the above would get away with not being in sound mind defence lawyers are to quick to use this as an excuse and thats why people are coming out of sucre units and doing the same thing again, they are getting pshyciatric help for something that isnt always a mental problem.

the fcked up that 1 in 10 rapist get off because their lawyer puts down the victim cos of previous mental difficulty making the jury think that she had sex with the rapist but it wasnt rape

Drugs dont make you claim insanity tho.. theyre not a mental illness!! People on here who take drugs dont automatically think they can kill someone!!

drugs may not help you claim insanity but they can make you act out of your normal personality. I mean there are loads of cases with PCP when people have acted totally insane. I mean we just have to look at acid to see how people can act out of character!

Definitely.. at the end of the day they all commit the crime.. whether in sound mind or not.. that would be needed to be more rigorously tested imo!! If they are discovered to be of sound mind then it should just be punishment, pure and simple!! If they are found to be not of sound mind then it should be treatment for it AND punishment!! And they shouldnt be let out until they are better either.. no matter how long ittakes, even if its past he original sentence.

but that is your experience though. we know that everyone has different experiences. so they might be mentally unstable in the first place to do such a thing and the drugs just helped them to it.
