Judging by the way you've written that you left school too early.

Possibly because of believing in Santa for too long!

I don't do much on this planet, but David Blaine has taught me that I could do less!!

Luu... I'd go bloody mental.

Get your arse up the school - and have a go at the teacher. Get the teacher to then apologise to your daughter and say he was playing a joke.

Christmas is the one magical thing left in a child's life, the one thing that sits in the world of fantasy and is truly innocent... When they find out Santa isn't real, the magic of Christmas disappears forever.

A teacher told me when I was seven... I called him a liar, and believed for another year or two.... I found out because "Santa" always took a photo of the presents he left. On the one picture one year, there was a reflection of dad with the camera in the television...

Kids find out that Santa isn't real far too early these days as it is. That's without a teacher telling a three year old. FFS!

Agreed Bukey.

There was actually a news story (I think it was regional/London news) on TV recently(-ish) about a similar thing. Some vicar told some very young kids that there was no Santa, and shitloads of their parents complained formally!

Yeh I think you should go with what Bukey has said & have a word with the school!! thumbs.gif

Thing is, if you don't have a word with the school then this twat, I mean teacher, will think it's perfectly okay to continue robbing children of childhood.

yeh, good point Bukey..... Official complaint should be made, what if he is say athiest & spouts there is no God & there are children in his class who come from a religious background, it is ok for adults as we understand the idaels of choice & opinions but for 3, 4 year olds it is wrong!!!

Three year olds are only just starting to understand and appreciate the magic of Christmas as it is, before that they're too young to really grasp the concept of Santa.

Good point about religion, but it's not just atheists. It's people of any religion putting ideas into childrens heads. Personally, I don't believe religion has a place as such in our schools. I think an understanding of all major religions should be given, an overview and explanations - but never "this is right, and this is wrong" - religious "instruction" should be left to families, the children themselves and any members of the religious community that the children/families may belong to. I know not everyone agrees with me on this point, but it's not down to teachers to force any kind of religion (or atheism or agnostism) down kids throats.
