Sorry I've not been on much, but I really don't get a lot of opportunities to get on the boards now.

 

As pointed out by CreamyC in Tommys thread, I should be making things easier for James and Creamy, which isn't happening. Feel free to remove me from the moderators list and add someone who has more time to cover all the posts if you like.

 

I'll send the draft business cards to you James by post if you want, as I can't zip them small enough to post on here.

I'm not going anywhere, just thought I may not be that helpful on moderating.

Creamy, I'm really not sure if I can make it Friday, but I'll try my best to make it. If not I'll be up for anything in the new year.

 

Sorry it's taken me an age to get to a meetup, but my finances haven't been very supportive, until now.

jack - dont be silly matey - i dont get on as much either but it cant be helped

 

i dont think we want/need more moderators - even more people to keep informed and more opportunity for loss of communication

 

i think the 'team' is right at the moment

 

the problem with having new mods is that it initially goes to their heads, they make a few mistakes etc.. and it all kicks off again - we will never win so i say we just keep the team we have and if we miss posts so what.

 

i'm really only interested in going out and having a laugh now and concentrating on the people who either provide decent reading/input on the forums or who actually come out to play

Jack i think you are an ideal cadidate to moderate, as you don't know many members on a personal clubbing basis, and can't fall into that clique state that everyone goes on about.

You are doing a good job mate, after all IMO most stuff shouldn't need moderating unless it gets way out of hand.

Jack, to be fair I now agree with you, I will no longer be moderating anything other than the events forums from now on. Bollocks to some people, they dont deserve it. Wankers.

I've also pretty much stopped moderating - mainly due to having enough time on here. I do think we need proper moderators but I dont currently have the time to audition people who arent going to abuse it either.

 

I personally dont think we (or any future mods) will ever win - best to just ignore these 'few' people who moan - if we dont respond to them (which is what they want) they will get bored and go away.

 

I DO think we need to cast a friendlier image to new members though - however 'fake' that may be presently.
