Don't bother with a portfolio, they are a waste of money as proper agencies can tell if you have the right look from home pics, or just by seeing you in person. Get a headshot and a full length shot and go round some good, reputable agencies, eg Storm, Select, Models 1 etc. WARNING: If an agency tries to get money off you or make you pay loads for a portfolio THEN SAY NO. No reputable agency will do this, they will always just take a percentage of your earnings. Reputable agencies will probably invest money in you at first rather than taking it off you, as they know you will make them money later.

you need to get a portfolio made, its fairly expensive to get decent pictures made.

You then go to a modeling agency, if you want to do modeling as a carear, then look at the names on the modeling agencys hire list. Actually the big agency's probably dont even publish there models names, but neway, pick a list of agencys, and send out a standard letter to all of them containing a picture of yourself etc.

Probably 90% of the agencys wont reply to you, but you have to keep trying intill they do.

This is ofcourse if your trying to get into somewhere good.
