I'm trying to figure out how to run MSN Messenger from my work computer but it doesn't want to work.

I'm not quite sure what our firewall system is or whether I have the correct server or port numbers (in connections tab). If anybody knows a way around this could they plllleeeaasseee let me know!

Thanks heaps!!!

well you've hit the buzzer there, it most probably is your firewall. what you would need to do is allow the port to be open on the firewall. OR there is a link around where you can use web based msn.

and i can't remember what port number msn uses, i think it starts with a 4, but i'm not to sure.

Ours runs at port 8080

Find an external dial up connection & run it off there ! wink.gif
