Well what can I say, I am not over keen on these two fella's style of sets of late, but read this statement they left earlier on another message board, Im well impressed & shows that some dj's do take time to listen & do take negative critism as a learning curve & not insult. Good on em I say thumbs.gifthumbs.gif

What they said:

*Well, I think I'll remember this thread for all the wrong reasons.

To be fair though, when we look on HF after a set has been well recieved in London, it's always good to read the positive comments so it would be naive of us not to take note of the negative comments too.

In fairness to the 9 or so people who made negative comments about the set last Saturday, none of you are just "having a go" at us for the sake of it (and thank you for that). You're all essentially saying the same thing, too many drops, which in turn spoils the flow of the set.

I will admitt that alot of the German and Italian stuff we have loved playing over the past few years has changed over the past 6 months. It now tends to lean towards squeezing 4 or 5 drops into a tune instead of the 1 or 2 like they used to. This makes it almost impossible to mix two of these tunes together without stumbling across a drop every minute or so.

This hasn't been a problem in the rest of the country, but when so many of you come on HF hilighting the same issue with some of our sets in London we've got to hold our hands up and take note of what is being said.

I know there are alot of DJ's on this forum and I think all of you know nobody would go out to play a set to intentionally piss people off. You always want your sets to be well received (by the whole crowd not just a large part of the crowd).

With this in mind, Ian and I have agreed to make our sets in the Capitol more "London Friendly", i.e. less drops, more beats.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. We hope you have a wicked Christmas ansd perhaps we'll see some of you on NYD.

All the best

Gary (Juice) & Ian (Cally) *

i used to rave about them but recently have gone a bit downhill in my books cos of the drops etc. If they're gonna change in London i will have to see wat they're like there now. Doubt they'll change their style in wales tho as they have a massive following in cardiff.

I was going to post a gag about flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality but it's just flogging a dead horse.

miss diddy: thanx 4 posting that. it made a good read.

i have to say i'm impressed that they

1) had the balls to comment on the criticism

2) and most importantly have said they will take it on board to make a more 'crowd friendly' DJ set

Whether they do remains to be seen, but if they're not too big to make a post like that then i'm sure they're not too big to vary their style a little

did not like them at all

they lacked tallent and the mixing was shoddy

i think their main thing is their enthousiasm behind the decks and character whilst mixing. Recently i have noticed their mixing quality diminish on several events. I have been told however by them on another forum that at one of the events the monitors were fcking up leading to the mixing going a bit downhill.
