defragging

when i bought this PC windows98 hadnt been installed properly so we installed XP over the top but 98 is still there (it gives you the option which one you want to run when logging on).

 

someone said he was gonna get rid of 98 but still HASNT grumpy.gif cus i only use XP.

 

can i defragg or will it [censored] everything up? scratchchin.gif

de fragging isn't what you want to do (altho it should speed you up a bit)

 

what you wanna do (H Enfield) is back up your personal data, scrub the drive, and install XP.

i meant defragging, i just havent done any of the techy stuff on here since iv had it cus i didnt want to move owt that could do damage.

 

its the files i want sorted, im going a bit slow rolleyes.gif

Mine needs doin but i havewnt enough room on hard drive yet to do it as u need 5% of total hard drive free or somethin and i dont!! frown.gif
