"O, you little toe rag !"

 

I mean, !!!!

Comes from the 18th century. Roads were always muddy in winter/ spring/ summer etc, so shoes were always getting muddy. To clean them, there were cloths, called toe-rags.

 

 

The phrase I kept hearing was 'oh God, oh God, yes, yes YES!' I mean
