CTW Members Evilhedfuk Posted January 3, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted January 3, 2004 My mixer is slowly dying So i'm on the look out for a new one! I want something a bit better than my current one but don't have a lot to spend... What are people's views on Behringer mixers? They seem to only make mixers that are blatent copies of other companies. Are these cheap alternatives worth a look or should I steer clear of them??? Discuss..... CTW DJs Andy Whitby Posted January 3, 2004 CTW DJs Share Posted January 3, 2004 Behringer mixers are good m8y if do't inttend on using it on a club, they make cheap replicars of mixers like vestax and pioneer, infact the repilac djm600 they recently released is really good as my friend bought it. I'd get it if i was u m8y, its a great bit of kit for its price plus lots of extra. It does everything a boring Vestax does and more for cheaper. Guest
looks good, but missing the best bit of the djm600... the sampler! being able to loop parts of a tune over itself allows for some interesting tricks :-)

CTW Members Rob D Posted January 4, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted January 4, 2004 It would be interesting to see how long they last - my DJM600 has been going for 4 years and is still as good as new. The only glitch was when beer got spilt on it and one of the channel faders when sticky, so I replaced it. From what I've seen and heard of Behringer mixers (my mate has a small two channel one) they seem fine for home use. To be fair at that price you cant grumble at all.
