Ed Real, Andy Whitby, Phil Reynolds Caroline Banx etc are all well known DJs in our scene today...   I agree with you re the sound system! As with new venue there are always teathing problems, we will be making sure the problems we had at the Coronet will be rectified for next time.

i wouldnt agree no. infact i would say very few clubs i've been to have used gimmics

 

it does tend to be more a hardhouse trend (maybe because there are so many hardhouse nights running every weekend they need some way to stand out?)

 

things like farly-time etc are cool as its a night based around a DJ. its just the 'secret' rave gimmics and 'free x to be one on the night' that strike me as more gimmicy than stubstance

yeh, I know what you are saying Laurence, but there are alot of HH clubbers who love the gimmick in the scene, each to their own & all that, personnally for me, I think it's all good fun, as with the people who dress in cyber or whatever, makes the night colourful to watch eh

frantic are free to run their nights as they see fit. i dont expect them to care much what i say (after all they are pulling in the punters at teh end of the day and isnt that the aim of the business?)

 

just from a personal point of view, i would sooner see a more varied lineup (rather than the same 5 DJs week in week out) than gimmics
