Ah ha!! I can see where the confusion has arisen....

 

By all accounts 'la papa' means potato whereas 'Papa' means Pope (John Paul II)

If you press Ctrl-Alt and a (or any other vowel) it gives you:

 

á, é, í, ó or ú
