Guest
Tony.P said: my BIG advice is dont push the gains. keep everything at the right levels. monitors the gains well, before you bring each record in. there is NOTHING more annoying then coming on after a DJ who seems to think its funny to have the treble and mid-range pushed right up.... it just makes it all sound [censored] wank! I remember talking to Phil B about it @ Toast - all that happens is distortion occurs and I cant understand why DJs do it at all
CTW Admin James Posted January 9, 2004 CTW Admin Share Posted January 9, 2004 One of the best DJs I've seen to use the eq properly is (again my faiv) Mr Phil Reynolds - its a joy to watch him blend lol Closely followed by MOD1 !!! The guy is spot on and the proof is in his demo CDs Quote James@ClubTheWorld.uk CTW Admin | ClubTheWorld.uk | Twitter | Instagram Clubbing the world, together ... CTW Admin James Posted January 9, 2004 CTW Admin Share Posted January 9, 2004 apologies Mr Happy, I didnt mean there is an order / who is better - as you say they are two different genres - i should have just put both make proper use of the EQ actually, I'd have to add corsten into the list, cos when I saw him at Judgement Sundays at Eden in Ibiza, Summer 2002, I really couldnt tell when one track finished and the next started! Rather, the power to blend tunes together in subtler ways.
