id say untidy is funky and funky hard house..ive got quite a few funky ones back home as i used to be good mates with spencer g (who made alot of tunes for untidy) if i remember when im back home i will give you them...

If you mean it's "funky hard house", hmm, well the stuff I've heard is pretty fast and still has that defining offbeat bassline, but definitely sounds lighter/quirkier/cheekier than your archetypal Tidy Trax Toss (whoops that just came out). It depends on whether you define hard house as "fast" or "hard"?

Yes, but I think everyone would agree that "hard funky house" is a million miles from "funk".

 

If I said to the average man in the street that I liked "funk", they would assume I meant James Brown or something like that.
