horrorist - 1 night in NYC

 

this is a dark tune. very minimal techno with little more than a kick, vocals about drugs and underage sex and a riff (i think thats that name for it) that sounds like it should have been used in the exorcist.

 

this is and will always remain one of my favourite tunes to play with no intention of trying to a set to fit it in

 

in my opinion, a classic

 

(this thread was inspired by clare dc posting that dire tune about drugs in hackney)

not heard the F.E.O.S mix.

 

i have the original release of it so it has the original and another mix that i cant remember who did it (i keep going to say dave clark but i'm sure thats not right )

 

but the tune ends with the guy going "i've [blah blah] too much. i'll go back and do some more of them later".

just had a look and the mixes i have are:

the liebing being my personal favourite. altho there really isnt that much difference

The F.E.O.S. Mix is by far the best. Have been hammering this for at least 2 years now. It just has that instant impact on any crowd. The guy who wrote the original is called Oliver Chesler (An old hardcore producer if anyone knows him) and this track caused quite a stir as it was a different track for him. And he did the vocals himself.

i do like it alot. but its lots alot of the raw evilness that the original and liebing mix had.
