D.A.V.E. the drummer is far from 'purist' techno. infact comprade to the elitest stuff its like happy hardcore being compared to hardhouse (ie faster and cheesyer).

 

saying all that, give me D.A.V.E. the drummer over jeff mills any day

when i lived in leeds myself and the leeds techno clique, used to laugh so hard at all the stay up forever [censored]. chris liberator, dave the drummer had no respect at all from us. crap 'acid techno'. no inovation and no funk to it at all. its still my main gripe with what people are starting to call techno. its just 'hard dance'.

sorry but after listening to just one Jeff Mills cd i would choose him over D.A.V.E the drummer any day!!

 

Sarah - If you think thats techno you need to get your ass down to a proper techno night...there dirty, hard and [censored] ahh..class - dirty techno in a dirty club nowt like the stuff that gets past off as techno atm...

Ive been to some proper techno nights. Used to go to Havok all the time in manchester about 4 years ago & Rif Raf in leeds. Have lost touch with it & only just starting to get back into it now
