yeah I produce and I also run Fired Up Records. It’s been a bit slow these last few years as I try to juggle that and a busy full time job but I still love discovering new artists so would definitely like to hear more of your stuff.

Could I ask your opinion on something, would you advise uploading a sample of the track to YouTube rather than the full version? I’m concerned that the full track may not be a safe method for future uploads. This is all new to me.

Tony if I can just pop my 2 cents in here, any media Player which streams and plays content can be captured.  Basically even soundcloud.   If you are concerned about thievery or something like that the. You are best of choosing 1 min or 1 min 30 samples.  If it’s just stuff you aren’t worried about losing then upload away.  
 

the internet is a weird place and anything you put out there can be taken (doesn’t mean it will of course )

U can add a digital signature too. However ..... they can also be removed illegally

Yeah everything Si said is spot on - it’s really easy for people to find a site which will illegally rip the audio from a YouTube or SoundCloud link. I always put a minute and a half of the build and the main drop of the track in, and most people do the same on SoundCloud.

plus it helps to create a ‘teaser’ clip if you send stuff to labels as a demo, if they’re interested and want to hear more they’ll ask for the full track which you can send privately by email 👍🏻

I’ve got another one which is 80% complete, but I’ve taken my studio apart as I’m decorating at the moment. So will be a while until I can get going again ☹️
 

I’m quite slow at writing anyway and normally it takes me 2-3 weeks to complete anything. I’m amazed how producers can make a track in a day.
