Sunny Side Up returns for one night only!

 

DJ Lineup: Carl Nicholson (Miss Moneypennys/Nukleuz/Elasticman/Euphoria), Jordache (Rhythm Bros/Direct from Poland), Skol (Sunny Side Up/Mind over Matter) Grant Molloy (Higher Times), Tony Bellamy (Shivoo/House of Windsor/Higher Times), Justin Sole (Fidget), Ben Sullivan & Dan Bayliss (Sticky Wicket) & MC K (SSUP)

 

Sunny Side Up and Higher Times Productions come together to create a special reunion playing an orchestrated mixture of Funky House/Old Skool/Hard Dance on August Bank Holiday 29/08/04 from 7pm-2am at Shikara Nightclub, Market St, Bracknell, Berks.

 

 

On the 30th of May 2004 a new revolution was launched in Bracknell Forest, Higher Times Productions launched the first in its Resurrection series of parties in the form of “Miss Money penny’s” and what a night was had, the atmosphere was nothing short than electric! It was a complete sellout with 150 people that unfortunately had to be turned away! So onward and upward as the 2nd installment of the series rears it’s ugly head, this time we are very proud to present none other than the original (and we mean original) Sunday raucous that is “Sunny Side Up”. Sunny’s began back in the early nineties and has played breeding ground for some of the worlds most famous deck technicians, Tony De Vit, John “00” Fleming, Pete Wardman and Darren Pearce have all held residency plus virtually every major name from coast to coast has played guest at this inimitable event!

 

Now to get down to business, firstly we are very proud to announce that we will be especially flying in Eastern Europe’s Progressive Trance/House Legend Jordache, Jordache has of late been ripping up the decks at every major club from Warsaw to Russia and we have had the pleasure of hearing him first hand on our polish tour and all I can say is that he is nothing short of breathtaking!

 

A special announcement now and Higher Times are very proud to inform you that Tony Bellamy who is without doubt one of the best known and respected DJ’s known to Bracknell Forest has been made our Chunky/Funky House Resident. Tony has played many different events in his time including “The Full Monty”, “Shivoo” and “House of Windsor”, he also boasts a very impressive portfolio of DJ’s he has played alongside including Andrew Wetherall, Boy George & Carl Cox to name but a few.

 

Next up we bring you Bracknell’s latest prodigy, Carl Nicholson has been at the forefront of the UK underground & mainstream extreme dance circuits for over a decade, he has played promoter for the Tony De Vit Trust and Gifted, he’s had tracks signed to some of the UK’s most prestigious Hard Dance Labels including Nukleuz, Honeypot, Elasticman & Fevah and had them played multiple times on Radio 1 and Kiss 100 FM by the likes of Lisa Lashes & Dave Pearce, he’s collaborated in the studio with the UK’s finest including James Lawson, Ali Wilson, Simon Parkes & Matt Williams, he’s had rave reviews in Mixmag, DJ, I-DJ and Ministry magazines, and he’s gigged just about everywhere in the UK & Ibiza alongside everyone who’s anybody in the Mainstream & Underground dance scenes. On top of all this Carl has in recent years competed in the Coca Cola UK DJ of the Year Competition and beat off 15’000 competitors to come 10th, played on Ministry of Sound Radio, gigged in the Smirnoff dance tent at Glastonbury Festival, been featured on the Dance Floor Chart Party on MTV, had a residency at Fabric and had his tracks signed to infamous compilations including Extreme Euphoria 2 and Resonate 2. If you had been at our “Miss Money penny’s” party you would have seen the screaming ovation that he received at the end of the night, Outstanding!

 

So just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, Skol from Sunny Side Up steps up for duty! Skol is resident at all Sunny Side Up events including Mind over Matter and Dance Forum. Over the past few years Skol has toured all over the world including Ibiza, New Zealand & Australia for majors including Fevah, Fahrenhite and many more!!!!

 

Keeping on the theme of new faces, Grant Molloy takes his place on the podium. Grant is without doubt the closest thing Carl Nicholson could get to a protégé, years of studying Carl techniques and being open to take advice has lead Grant to be described as “A serious contender to be one of tomorrow’s major superstar’s” by none other than Carl himself, watch him and I’m sure it will take only minutes for you to agree!

 

And last but certainly not least we have Justin Sole whom has been a resident and founder for “Fidjet” since the very day it started, Justin played an amazing set at “Miss Money penny’s” and we feel it only just we give him another go.

 

And finally we are pleased to announce that Ben Sullivan and Dan Bayliss will be returning to fire up the floor once more with their “Sticky Wicket” shenanigans.

 

On top of all that we will also be welcoming Sunny Side’s MC K to get the crowd screaming for more.

 

So all in all this promises to be a spectacular event that will be the envy of many a promoter for miles around! For the night we will be transforming Shikara nightclub into an oasis of light, colour and sound. We will be upgrading the décor in the whole club, which will include high quality visual drops and inflatable stars, installing no less than 8 intelligent lighting units and upgrading the sound system.

 

All that coupled with a formidable promotions team and superb atmosphere is the formula for what could only ever be, the original Sunday tear-up that is and always will be “Sunny Side Up”
