CTW Members Morgan Posted July 27, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted July 27, 2004 (edited) MORGAN: ‘CUT & FX’ 'Fast rising star Morgan is back with another excellent CD instalment giving you a taster of his unique cutting edge sounds and proving once again why Morgan is gaining maximum respect from every dancefloor that he conquers.' ‘One thing about Morgan I constantly find is wherever you are, you can always tell when he comes on, he comes into his own and his style is always identifiable within moments. He has captured the essence of what he is about, transfers it into his music and blasts the dance floor into oblivion with his vast amounts of energy and blatant love for the scene and the music. His enthusiasm and determination to provide that extra oomph and go the extra mile is never lacking, he is always looking for ways to improve, enhance and lay down the law to all.’ Gurn.net: Oct 2003 'These two CD’s are packed full of some of the most sought after tunes around, with offerings from Alex Calver, Wayne A and Promise resident Mark Maitland to name a few. CTW Members Morgan Posted July 27, 2004 Author CTW Members Share Posted July 27, 2004 The Alex Calver's rmx of When will i be Famous is absolutly blinding. Alex has done a crackin job tearing this 80's clasic apart and turning it in to a techno based stormer. 'Dont knock it till youve heard it!' Guest
pm-ed you btw. my only comment on the mixes (as i havnt heard them) is they seem a bit biased towards cirtain producers. was this deliberate (ie to show case their work as you work closely with them) or more accidentle as they just happened to write the tunes that fitted with the cd the best? CTW Promotors Lisa Posted July 27, 2004 CTW Promotors Share Posted July 27, 2004 Not jipping here Laurence but I have lots of mixed cd's that just have a few producers on them, also in my techno collection Quote Techno, Techno, Techno
Guest
fair point though lisa. thats one of my biggest gripes with techno though. it seems to be the same small few releasing on the major labels as for the cd, i was more curious if it was an intentional move towards some producers. im not gonna pass judgement on the choice of tracks as i've not heard the cd. plus all the tracks are different tracks rather than remixs so theres no reason why each track shouldnt sound fresh Edited July 27, 2004 by Mr_Happy

Fair Point matey. Its a bit of both really, i do work closly with Alex Calver and he sends me all his new work b4 it get realised, this obviously works for me because as an up-&-coming DJ i strive to have tunes other DJs dont. and as Alex is a very good friend of mine we both have a mutual respect for each other and our respective works, and im keen to help Alex out anytime i can as he is with me. on top of that he's the best young producer in the scean @ the mo imo. Were goin in the studio 2gther @ the end of nxt month and wve got some top ideas potentialy for one of the early relises on my Label 'Toasted recordings'. He's working on the rmx for our first realise at the mo, not heard it yet but im in no dougt it's gonna b a stormer. I'd like to thank all the Producers who send me stuff to keep my sets & CDs as up front as they can be!
Guest
to be honnest, alex is the only producer at the moment that i'm going out of my way to find stuff. he seems to be releasing very close to the sound that i'm trying to achieve in my sets. infact his the closest harddance producer to my sound that i've come across is there a mailing list of something for him so i can keep track of his releases?
