A live mix recorded last year, I did promise a few ppl a copy on CD but had totally forgot. So if anyone wants to have a listen, its now online.

The set was a warm up set so its not straight out bangin. Starts off techy & then goes into some tech trance.

I think he means he was playing in front of a paying audience.

 

Either that, or there was some dodgy wiring and 240V was running through the crossfader.

so is there 3 ways of doing it then, live as in how LE has described in front of an audience in a club or festival, live as in at home on decks, recorded to disc & finally as you have described Laurence???

the 1st 2 ways you've described are exactly the same method of recording a mix, only one of them your playing to an audiance so you only get one stab at it and the other you can keep re-recording your mix until you are happy.

 

genreally speeking though people dont tend to call mixes at home a 'live' mix as you can re-record it if you bodge (even though you are actually playing live, if that makes sence?)

yeh makes total sense, to me, id class live, as LE has described, being recorded as you are playing to live audience, but be worried if they were dead!!
