CTW DJs Tony P Posted August 2, 2004 CTW DJs Share Posted August 2, 2004 i,ve upload what i have made of my first ever production attempt to my site for you to listen to. I've had real problems trying to get the sounds right, as this mix down and compression is real hard work. I think i've kinda got the got the compression right up until the main break. But after that you will notice that the sound level drops quiet a bit (this i will have to correct, but means adjusting every sample i've used and will take some time). This needs a hell of a lot more work and as you know is only the first proper attempt i've had at making a tune. But if you can offer me some CONSTRUCTIVE feedback then please do, i need all i can get. I wasn't going to post a link actually, but was thinking if you guys can offer som e constuctive feedback then that's better than me working in the wrong direction. The link is here My Webpage thanks for your time guys
Guest Jay
Nice work Tony, it's pretty good for your first go. The bit at the end sounds like a different tune though and its in a long mix, do you know what i mean?? but i liked it all, it was the sort of stuff i thought you would make. noice. CTW DJs Tony P Posted August 2, 2004 Author CTW DJs Share Posted August 2, 2004 QUOTE The bit at the end sounds like a different tune though yeah i get what you mean mate, and i think i gotta try and blend the start and the end of it in better. so it doesn't change so drastically. needs alot more work for sure thanks for listening to it mate, appreciate that

Guest Kether
The build up before the first break is nice, the synth line that introduces the break is cheesy and I don't like it. The tune progresses nicely after the break but that synth line makes me want to hurt fluffy animals.
CTW DJs Tony P Posted August 2, 2004 Author CTW DJs Share Posted August 2, 2004 QUOTE makes me want to hurt fluffy animals well at least it made you wanna do something, fluffy animal blow goat anyway cheers for the feedback mate, funnily enough you are not the only person that has said that about the synth line it's actually the bit i like..... will make another version and change it to something else. thanks for having a listen
CTW Members Shaney_R Posted August 2, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted August 2, 2004 Just heard this, and think its an exceptional attempt at your first tune Tony, really liking it and IMO its a wee bit evil. All that i found that needed tweeking was the bass line was a tad low, maybe turn the volume up on that abit, save it being too Toney. I think u get wat i mean. You have my Thumbs up Tony, cant wait for the finished product. Good on ya Quote www.faceparty.com/shaney_r Bookings/Info - www.myspace.com/shaney_r msn - punani65@hotmail.com OFFICIAL CTW AWARDS 1. CTW Members BenRW Posted August 3, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted August 3, 2004 first of all needs more of a driving bassline, not strong enough by far also maybe a few key changes would bring it out more after the first break i like that hoover, not heard a pattern like that before, but then i don't know my hoovers too well when the other synth comes in it masks the hoovers too much, maybe boost the hoovers or lower the other one good attempt tho Quote I was going to post a gag about flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality but it's just flogging a dead horse. Guest
i'll be honnest and say that i was sevearly sleep deprived when i listened so i'll listen again in a mo (when andy's mix has finished) but my basic thoughts on it last night was that i really liked the ideas on it. they sounded very professionally crafted together. however i felt it didnt move fast enough. i'm not talking about bpm, but the same idea seemed to be streched out over too many bars with very little change. i will have a proper listen later though and my opinion will probably change for the 12 hopurs sleep i had last night/this morning
