i would have a hard house / breakbeat / funky house chill out

 

that would be wicked.

 

with loads of sofas in the chillout & music quiet enough for you to be able to chat.

 

loud as fuck in the HH and breakbeat.

 

and preferably a garden, playing something chilled and a bit alternative.

Funky House & Trance, Chillout area with chillout cd's, with sofas, bean bags, and gaming area, like pac man,space invaders stuff like that.

 

Whole venue decorated, with projections screens on the dance floor.

 

Start off in a small venue, 4 quid with flyer 5 quid without, possibly drinks promotions, and promotional Cd's to give away for the first 50 people maybe.

 

If it takes off invest in more lighting, and maybe a lazer

Funky House - Junior Jack etc

Hardhouse - Glazby, Reynolds, Karim, Charlotte Birch, Eric Orpheous

Techno - Dave The Drummer, Laurent Garnier, (Don't know any more haha)

Psy Trance (dont know what DJs)

Freeform - (as above)

Hardcore (and Happy Hardcore) - Scott Brown, Mark EG, Hixxy, Sharkey, M-Zone, Brisk

Trance - Ferry, Tiesto, PVD etc ..

Well i suppose it depends on what kind of venue you could get hold of, me and 2 others use to run a night back up here in the late 90's for about 12 months before the nightclub owner decided to sell up, it was purely hardcore and was a real good night. But i suppose if i could do 1 now id the main room playing Hardhouse/Hardtrance, second playing purely trance or hardcore? and a chill out are to, but it depends how many rooms ya got as to which club it would be.

 

Still actually thinking of starting another night up here although its hard to get a suitable venue here as its mainly cheesy music, theres some good big clubs but they cater for the piss heads playing scouse house etc and doubt theyd give a night up 2 a HH night?

i'm kinda in talks with a small venue down here with a mate of mine, and what i'veput above is kinda the forumla we are going for at the moment...

 

hopefully launches in september! would love to have big name dj's but there is no budget for that witha venue so small as the one we are going to.

i would have 3 rooms.

 

a techno room starting off quite funky and housy and finishing with tough intensive techno. DJs like carl cox (but only if he plays a minimum of 6 hours) and adam beyer (after hearing how fukin good he was at GKGG)

 

a creative harddance room starting with DJs like weirdo then progressing onto tinrib, karim before closing with D.A.V.E. the drummer and sterling moss. 2 hour sets (bar the live PA's of course)

 

and a breaks/electro and house room. anything with a bit of funk and a groove goes here.
