[12 November 2024] Polyend has released the first major firmware update 1.1.0 for the Groovebox Play+ with a new PERC engine. This new synthesizer engine was first introduced at Superbooth 24 and adds a powerful drum synthesis to the hardware. It occupies one of the eight available synthesizer voices and can play up to five drum sounds simultaneously, including kick, tom, snare, hi-hats and percussion. All sounds are based on pure synthesis without samples and offer numerous settings to customize the sound. Sounds exciting!

The new PERC engine allows you to create a variety of drum sounds in real time and integrate them directly into your tracks. The engine is controlled by intuitive controllers that allow for flexible editing of the sounds. The update also includes a host of bug fixes and enhancements that make the Play+ even more stable and versatile.

The firmware update makes the Play+ an even more comprehensive groovebox, with a new synthesis engine that greatly enhances sonic diversity.
