Louise - I had the same sort of problem on another message board, somebody accessed my pm's and made them public, my heart goes out to you because it is a very hard thing to deal with, no matter what you have said you did so in a private message and you should not feel guilty about this, people say thinsg about people all the time, only difference is yours, like mine got made public !

 

This girl had also bene reading my PM's for a few months and I can really sympathise with you.

 

I think that you should out them, I did and they got banned from the message board.

 

Hacking into somebody's PM's is a breach of the data protection act and you CAN do something about this.

Louise - if you dont know who has been accessing your account, get james to check ip addresses of all members who have accessed it - that way he can find out who has been behind it

As far as I'm aware its not actually possible to 'hack' the board - even I dont know the database password its that secure. I would imagine someone has either guessed a password, been told a password or gone a PC which has had 'remember me' switched on

After talking this was the choice made. Lou has left and won't be coming back. It's been a while coming and I'm not suprised. Lou has asked for me to ask to have her account deleted.

 

As far as we are concerned this is now OVER. Neither of us really care what people say or think about this and have no more to say.

 

All we want now is to be able to get on with things and hope people will respect that.
