no, not at all - in fact I personally intend to start doing less events, but more varied - ideally overseas - clubbing in places like Holland, Germany... also perhaps attending annual events in Miami etc. one day (i wish). I know there are many others here who are interested in these types of trips and with flights so cheap it would be mad to miss out. For example Liam was able to come over the other weekend from Northern Ireland for about £25 return !

 

I enjoy the whole 'package' - the travelling to the event, the pubbing/clubbing, the afterparty, the daytime activities, the travelling back from the event etc.. etc.. We're hoping to offer a service to everyone (including ourselves) whereby all the detail is worked out already and we just have to worry about one fee to pay, which would cover the travel/accom/club entry etc.. etc.. Then people are simply 'in' or not.

 

Of course in addition to this there are the regular weekly club meets which members themselves arrange and continue to work well, but the core/original concept of the site is to build a group of people who want to socialise and travel together to varied events/locations. I firmly believe in the original mission and its actually already proved it works, just that up until now its been mainly around specific areas in the UK (london/liverpool/leeds) - there many more areas in this country and other countries to discover.

 

I predict that as the years go on more and more people will be in a position to be able to afford to get out to clubs/events further afield, and that they too will not be happy with just clubbing in their local area. I know that I and others get a huge buzz travelling to new towns and just as much buzz seeing others travel to see us. Of course there are also those who are happy to just go out once in a while and only locally and this is of course fine as its the basic forumula of the site and how people first meet...

 

In summary CTW really is what you make it. Yes it probably is 'just another message board' but its not just another average bunch of people ...

Yeah it could be although Colin and my house mate just went there before xmas and my house mate was telling me that the clubbing scene was not what he thought it would be - i.e. no way close to what its like in London and things shut well early ??? Also a bit more expensive - i.e. not worth the money - but I'm defo up for a trip to make up my own mind at some point. Also, choosing the right time of year for a lot of places is crucial - when i went to Prague I found it disappointing but I'm told that I went at the wrong time of year (i went when it was very cold)
