i try and stay away from fizzy drinks anyway, so unhealthy! The last couple of days ive cut out all tea and coffee, i already have so much more energy! yay.gif

it may be a contributing factor but you'd have to drink a hell of a lot of diet drinks for it to make much difference at all. and as soon as the sweeteners are out of your system anyways then the body acts accordingly levels are back to normal.

 

So what if you release more digestive enzymes? you do the same thing looking at picturs of nice food and feeling hungry, the body can and does cope with this quite easily. Not as if they are gonna start digesting away your stomach is it?

 

This contrasts with the benefits of having a hell of a lot less calories in diet drinks, which have 1 calorie per can i think? also lot better for your teeth.

 

shame to me that artificial sweeteners taste like crap.

agree there. I hardly drink soft drinks unless its as a mixer for vodka

Which, the carbolic acid or the citric acid ? Fruit juice will have as much if not more citric acid as soft drinks, and you don't hear people complain about that.

If you're worried about carbolic acid, leave your drinks open til all the carbon dioxide has come out of solution and evaporated. Sorted. thumbs.gif

It's carbonic acid...and both aren't good for your teeth really, but I was referring to the carbonic acid. Drinking flat soda isn't much better than drinking it fizzy!

 

The best way of drinking them is through a straw. Don't get swilled round your teeth so much then.

 

I used to think my parents were really mean for making me drink so much water, but I am glad they did! grin.gif

luu your post about bottled minteral water, and (prob not in same post) preying on ppls insecurities springs to mind. designer meals for ppl who will pay for them because they say 0.1% fat on the packet.

 

sometimes i try and eat no choc for a bit or have less for dinner, but i notice no diff in weight whatsoever, whatever i do, even after i pig on a hooj meal.

 

rarely even notice a permanent difference after a long mad weekend. recently lost half a stone in about 2 months cos i was constantly running around more at work, my diet didnt change at all - go figure.

 

if u eat less ur body gets used to coping with less?

for girly's i say exercise and try water retention tablets,

app we are made up of 80% water and 40% isnt needed(rough %)

 

i take these and it gets rid of pre-mentrual blote and any pot belly.

also cut right back on carbs for a bit, bread esp.

i also like yakult. smile.gif

also u have to bear in mind, before ppl go rushing out to try and get to the exact 40% mark...

 

that 40% is going for a percentage, not a shape....so when u reach the 40%, you'll look like "you" at 40%, not
