Who cares?

I'm not really interested in who wins what and whether some people think that they deserve it or not.

Yet more tabloid crap.

And that's news...?

Newsflash!

Exemplary, law-abiding citizen from Southeast London does not win lottery for the 258th week running.

sorry if it is not interesting enough for you LE!! rolleyes.gif Just thought it would be good to add another post to the many others that are going up lately tongue.gif

I know it was won fair & square & nothing can be done, but I personally feel they should not be allowed to do the lottery & that his winnings should be taken off him & put into some form of charity or towards rape victim society or whatever it is called smile.gif

But on the bright side, his victims can now sue him.... shrug.gif

not really. i know this is a very blunt way to see this, but he's doing his time for the crime. i think further punishing him afterwards is wrong. anyone wanting to take that money from him i think is wrong too. Yes they will be emotionally scard by it, but he's paid his time to society. I mean that's the whole point of jail really, oh and gettin them off the streets, but hopefully they have time to realise the error of their ways.

have been reading this one on the serious message board.

FTB had a point when he said that to be banned from the lottery was not part of hus punishment and it's not like anyone in particular deserves to win the lottery.

And what of the emotional scars of the victims?? Especially when it concerns rape, not exactly the easiest thing to forget about... Why should he be OK, but his victims should suffer for the rest of their lives??

but why have a system in place where you go to prison lose all your rights and then aftwards get punished again after paying your time just because you won the lottery. I know if it was me that knew someone that got raped i would want blood, but i wouldn't do anything because that makes me as bad as them. then the next question that has to be asked is, will money really take that scar away? I think not.
