If, like me, you thought the original film was the dog's danglies, then get your arse to the cinema and watch the sequel! It's wicked.

 

It's gritty, nail-biting (I worked my way through all my fingernails and made a start on my left foot) and feels very realistic. There are bags of neat little touches in the film that make it really believable, and convey what a scary-ass bastard Bourne is.

 

I actually want to go and watch the film again now.

 

And if you haven't seen the original -- get it watched!

top film isn't it. Really loved the first one and heard about this not to long ago. Then waited for it to be released. There are some classic bits in, like the bit where he rings them and he says something that totally spookes them. very good indeedy!!!

I absolutely loved the first and can't wait to see the second.

 

In a bid to make myself shine...if you do go to the cinema to watch this and see the ads before the film, then you will see a cinema version of the current TV ads for the BMW 1 Series...I was part of making all of this work (including TV and press)!!!

neither film is anywhere near as good as the books.... they changed so much to the point of it being typical hollywood tripe

 

I cant believe they killed marie and conklin off - they both have huge roles in the 2nd and 3rd books!

Can't you regard it as a film in its own right though, rather than just comparing it to the book?

 

You're not the first person to say that the book is quite different, and much more detailed than the movie, but that's no great surprise really is it? That doesn't make the movie "bad".

 

I had no preconceptions about what the film should or shouldn't have been like, as I haven't read the books, and as a film I think it's great. Didn't think it was very Hollywood at all, in fact (BTW the director is British).

true - but you really should read the books and you will see what I mean - robert ludlum is a FANTASTIC writer!

 

However, I admit certain things did need altering - the bourne books were set in the 70's when they were written... there is no mention of 'carlos the jackal' in the films at all though - that is why bourne was really 'created' - to lure him out in order to kill him

 

Anyways, back to the film - it was ok as a 'switch off and enjoy' film, but the action/fight scenes were ruined by a cameraman who was obviously excited - it was all over the place and dont think it was still once
