Not quite sure which forum this should go into, so i'll stick it in general, and leave it the the powers that be to move it if nessecary...

 

But...

 

Does anyone know what software is generally used to create the rather flashy and nice visual effects you see on projection screens in clubs?

 

I've been kinda commisioned to do some for a promoter cos i'm "apparantly" good with puters.

 

Never willing to turn a challenge down i'd like to give it a go, but ask you peeps for info on it first.

 

Any ideas!??

Back i n the day they used things called fractals, propper oldskool rave video style effects

 

http://www.mbfractals.com/zoomanim.html Like these, if you search you should find some software that will help you make em, also there is something called Adobe Live motion, i think that might make animations etc but not 100% sure

I've just come across Visual Jockey

 

Which looks like it could do exactly what i want, and i can hook it up to a mixer, so i'll check this out and see if its suitable.

 

Cant find a minimum spec for it though :s
