Well my dad has just bought 2 pictures which totalled up to the ammout of £170, for downstairs of the house as it's just been decorated.

One of them is 6ft.

Like, when you have just decorated, would you pay almost £170 for two pictures to put on a wall, making it look pretty, even though you arent really into art / paintings ?

Discuss.

wouldn't wanna pay £12,000's worth of stuffy paintings....

i'd go down to the nearest car boot and look around for better paintings!

DISCUSS about car boot sales? are they good or bad?

always there for the beer, but not wanting to pay!!

I'm going to have to say yes because I'm that person that sells you those paintings, although you wouldn't get two off me for 170 quid.

Commercial high street galleries do really annoy me though. Theres one in tamworth that I go in every now and again and its full of total crap.

Its all either prints of bad chocolate box paintings in discusting frames, or badly painted original work where the artist blatantly knocks out 50 a day.

The only commerial gallery I've ever been in that sells really good work is The Art Lounge in the Mailbox in brum.

Anyone fancy a bongle with bungle?

How many would we get for 170 quid then?

Sorry did that sound really pretencious?

For about 100 quid you'd get something really basic, just flat colours or geometric patterns that measured 3ft by 4ft.

If its a more involved piece and on a bigger scale, anything up to 300ish.

Just thought you might be interested in seeing some of the pieces that I've sold in the past. Most of theses were last year and are nothing like what I'm working on now though.

5ft by 2.5ft
