it meens theres to users logged in. one user hasnt logged on (ie 'Guests') and zero users have logged in but chosen to remain hidden.

 

the Guests and Anonymous wont ever tally up with the Users simply becuase they are reporting on different information

Actually I think I understand now. I believe the explanation is much simpler:

 

What it means is "2 User(s) are browsing this forum (1 Registered User, 1 Guest and 0 Anonymous Users)"

 

...except it isn't bothering showing the tally of registered users (since they are listed below anyway). It has nothing to do with hidden users.
