My brother was supposed to look after me when we were outside but after nearly burning our house down...TWICE, I think mum let me do my own thing.

 

First time, he found a lighter outside, took it in the house and started unravelling the toilet roll...you can guess the rest.

 

Seconf time, he stole a small piece of magnesium strip from school and decided to set light to it in his bedroom.

the worst thing i did was push my brothers hand thro the front door window while i was baby-sitting, part of his little finger was hanging off and oh my god was i in trouble when my parents came home after they had been celebrating their wedding anniversary

I don't remember you doing that ? I remember Adrians little finger hanging off but I thought he fell from a tree up the park ?

 

I think the worst time was when my 2 brothers were arguing - and they always fight like cat and dog. One day my mother had just come off a night shift and she was im bed sleeping. Around 2 in thr afternoon, I was in the kitchen, and my 2 brothers were in the living room bitching at eachother. The oldest one called my youngest brother something really nasty. My eldest brother was standing next to the main front window of the house that is right on the main road. So my youngest brother, in ragging temper, went in the kitchen, grabbed the nearest thing to hand, which was a full bottle of squash, thre it at my eldest brother, to which he 'ducked', and the bottle went straight throught the front window.

 

It's just aswell it happened really, as it was almost time to wake my mother up anayway.

Me and my bro' learnt our lessons after we did something REALLY bad and instead of smacking us, my dad got a wooden meat tenderising hammer to us both.

 

Neither of us could sit down for hours. Taught us a lesson though. These days its illegal for a parent to smack their kids though. Its ridiculous.

Only once I ever got a slap from my parents. I don't think I can ever recal my mum rasing her hand to me.

 

Although I remember my dad giving me a belter across the face (it was fully deserved). I was wanting to show him a trick that my grampa (or GRANDPA as you lot would say) had shown me with a pack of cards, and he had just left the house with my nan, so I wanted to show my dad what he tought me.

 

But as I was calling him whilst he was busy escorting my grandparents out the door, I said under my breath "Oh f*ck off". With that, my brother 'grassed' on me and told my dad, to which I recieved a slap across the face.

 

 

Fecking hurt though I'll say.

Theres alot of stuff my 'rents dont know about that I've done.

 

We use to get hit so much as kids and we turned out OK. My bro and I are all for dishing out smacks for kids if they've been naughty.

 

I still cant believe that a kid in the USA sued his 'rents for smacking his for breaking a window.

 

Out there its all about "time out" and being sent to their rooms.

 

I say..if a kids been bad, slap the fu**er.

It doesn't result in anythnig positive though does it ? Any way - I would never hit my own kid - and I don't want this debate to happen AGAIN or I will drop kick you round these parts.

 

My mother cought me and my brother cutting each others hair once. We ended up looking like we had our hair cut by the coucil.

What do you mean it doesnt result in anything positive?

 

Its basic psychology. A kid is bad, he gets hit, he feels pain, he associates the pain with being bad, he learns not to be bad...POSITIVE RESULT.

 

I've smacked my kid before (not for the last 2 years though coz I've not seen him ) and hes always learnt.
