We do get money to party, but the downside is that we dont get to pay ourselves, or earn money from it. Its a shitload of work (im sure there are people here that fully understand the amount of work in getting an event off the ground) but we have such a small scene here in Tasmania (our biggest ever events are just over 1000 people) that its just nice to not to have to worry yourself stupid about the profit side.

Not that we can go nuts on the spending. we get alloted money depending on our membership which is currently 1700 people. (we use free alcohol bribes to get people to join up, even though we suspect they have no interest in dance music)

 

Is there anyone else on this board that is involved with a dance music university group? if so we would love to hear from you.

So I assume from the majority of posts that this is an England based board? How many others are not in Britain here? A fair few, or are we international visitors in a serious minority?
