The United States Of America finished top of the medal table with 35 golds..i think they had 106 medals compared to Britains 30...no compensation for having Bush as a leader though.

America has 260 million+ and have excellent sports facilities. Britain has 60 million and average facilities. So you know we did ok. But we should be higher the France. No excuse for that. We would of done if Amir Khan and Radcliff pulled their finger out.
