Hmm. If some 'bad motherfucker' uses a nuclear device, arguably that would be more than 'three times' as bad.

 

I would say that would be at least 500 times as bad. Obviously you would need to factor in the size of the device, the location of the bombing, etc.

I don't think anyone is trying to condone the actions or the thinking of those who resort to terrorism.   All the extremists do is make it far worse for the people who live under the cause they fight for. Chechnya, Islam, Iraq, etc...   I am worried about acts retaliation, lynching the nearest Muslim or the nearest Chechen (all of whom are ordinary people, who have nothing to do with acts of terrorism), which would only go to strengthen the resolve of the extremists.

To be pedantic (!) I don't think it would melt your insides (unless you were very close to the centre of the blast).

 

Although apparently your skin does literally burn/fall off if you're within a certain distance.
