Hey, thanks (I think ) for noticing my presence. I'm one of those lurkers who have now been roused from our hiding spots with the new forum rules. I posted some (a wee amount, really) on the old board after lurking on it for really an embarrasingly long time (since '02 I think). Anyway, when everything turned over I was just too lazy to put a new post up in new members.

 

In any case, I'm American, live in Texas (please don't blame me for George Bush) and listen primarily to trance and funky house. We really don't have a hard house scene--at least not as extensive and well supported as the UK's. Actually, the overall scene is not as extensive as the UK's though in some cities like NY, LA, Miami, and, in Texas, Dallas there are some good DJ's. I usually just wait to catch my favorite international DJ's on their semi-regular US tours--like PVD, Tiesto, Sasha, Digweed, etc. These shows are a really big deal to us because we lack anything remotely close to resembling the UK and Euro festival circuit. It just does not exist for the most part.

 

Anyway, now I'm rambling but what's funny is that I've frequented this board for so long that I'm basically addicted and I have no idea why!!! I mean I don't even know you people and yet and I get on this board nearly every day and track the comings and goings. What can I say? I'm a total dork and really need to get out more--or at least spend more work time doing actual work.

I noticed it said in your profile you are addicted, and I thought 'hey wait a minute, he can't be addicted, he has only posted once !' lol. Alas, it seems so that you are an addicted CTW Forum reader

 

So you're from across the big pond eh ? I've a mate who is over in America at the moment. He has been travelling quite a while and it's soon to end and he will be hopefully be coming back to London where he is from ! I would love to go to America. Maybe one day I will when I have the money to go travelling. One day ..

 

I see you have good music taste aswell whihc also matches my taste aswell as a few others on this site (which I am sure you have read about ). I am really loving Sasha and Digweed at the moment. Since hearing them play at Dance Valley this year, they have kinda grown on me !

 

I have watched a few live festivals / gigs streamed frm Miami courtesy (sp) of MTV throughout the Summer of last year and they look absolutely GREAT ! Would love to attend one in the future !
