Anyone watch this on the news last night ?

Just goes to show anything can happen really in terms of terrorist attacks !

2 incidents in 2 days that could have been terrorist attacks. Guess we are lucky that it wasn't that situation really.

Obviously security needs to be tightened up but I thought security was more secure sinse 9/11. thumbsdown.gif

It's pretty frightening actually. Add to that the fact that there is no radio reception in the London Underground and it seems like London is open to a terrorist attack at any moment.

The government has done next to nothing to tighten up security

London is already on version 2.

The Fire of london was actually a glitch in the ant virus program to wipe out the Win32 virus, "great plague"

Bout time they released version 3.

i live near a major terrorist bomb threat site and i have to pass thru there everyday on the DLR, and to go shopping i go there. The thing is there are so many ways to bypass security

WHen driving they stop you and ask where you're going, then let ytou thru and very occasionally they will want to swab your steering wheel and door handles of your car for explosives. the thing is tho that so many cars just get waved thru these check points, eg taxis, cars which look like the ones that chaffeur the rich gits who work there about.

to get a bomb into the area in a car all you need is a mercedes benz car or taxi and your just waved through. what sort of security is that??

I was going to post a gag about flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality but it's just flogging a dead horse.

Some of the newspaper articles about Otis Ferry and his fellow perpetrators make me laugh. People are praising his actions as somehow heroic, and ranting about what a nice chap he is.

Er, sorry, but he illegally broke into the Commons. And he condones animal cruelty (thinly veiled as a posh sport). I don't give a fuck if he is "polite" or a "model tenant".

"Aww... he's a lovely, caring and humane man, he does have an odd hobby though. He likes watching Foxes hunted down and pulled apart by hounds. He's also very law abiding!"

I am not joking but I actually left my job and got out of London for this very reason - its only a matter of time IMO - the tube especially is VERY scary

The fact is though that no security will ever be good enough so for the amount of time and money it would take to tighten up (and make peoples day to day lives even harder/longer) its probably not worth having ANY security - as the tube doesnt

Simple rule really. The Terrorists need only get it right once for them to suceed. The Police/Authorities need to be right 100% of the time to suceed.

It is I'm afraid innevitable that something will happen.

This is a good point actually - as with the mirror newspaper endangering the army but publishing fake pics this dude who broke in is surely just giving people further ideas - yeah thanks mate

Could you imagine if today 1,000 nice people break into offices around the country to prove a point that the security in this country is shite - sometimes its better not to highlight this fact to the world ???!
