hair extensions

Went for a consultation today about having some hair extensions added to my mop & fook me £450

 

I knew they be pricey but not that bloody much Anyway to cut a long story short, they can wait til next year & im opting for a cut & hightlights instead

Bah, I'm trying to grow my hair atm, haven't had it cut for 5 months, and it looks like a terrible bushy mess

 

I was thinking about extensions, but £450!

yeh bit like mine Liz, I look like ive got a thatched roof on my head at the moment where ive started growing it, but i'll wait til later on next year for the extensions, save a bit first

450 is alot - they didn't come to that much when I asked for a quote about 2 years ago :|

I went to a shop in my town & phoned a few places Tara & they all quoted the same amount, I knew they'd be relatively expensive but not quite that much

 

I wanted a full head cos mine is short, similar colour to my own, with odd lighter brown highlight, about your length Tara & I guess a aimilar style, layered

My mate has been having them done for 5 years now, she pays £800 every 3 months for Racoon hair

 

Because she has had them in for so long, her hair is runied underneath, she looks like Willow the wisp without them

yes Fish it was racoon hair I was gonna get put in, maybe I wont then

well Ive just had a cut & colour now, so im happy, no more looking like a thatched roof

Racoon is far more expensive anyway as its real hair. Its cheaper to go for proplus synthetic hair. But Fish is right, any kind of extensions can damage the hair.

Hmmm so what would you advise then tara as your know hon. I wanted them done to help me get past the crappy stage, have had it cut now but was planning on getting it trimmed for a few months well kept tidy & growing it out, to get them beginning of next year, but would you say not to bother if it damages then & just percivier(sp) with my own mop?

I got a mate who works for Vidal Sasoon up here who does them for £100, i really need something doing with my hair cos its wrecked from too much colouring, thought about cutting it off & having extensions instead
