I have been unable to buy into the "religious" stories and without a shred of evidence to back up the "god" theory I can't help but feel it's all bullshit.

I do believe a man exsisted called jesus, but as for him being the son of god is the question?? I think he was obviously very influential etc etc but was probably just a old day rebel, what ya think?

A bit hard to say, there may have been a "jesus", but time has embelished the story. He may have been made up of a number of people... who knows?

hmm true Alex, but there is evidence that a man did exsist etc, poss again fabricated, but most of the stories seem to coincide etc, I do think tho for the sake of the believers they have been possibly falsified of his exsistance if you know what I mean?? unsure.gif

If he did exsist I would imagine again he would have probably lived a life more like William Wallace say!! Well thats my opinions.

I would not say im religious however it does fascinate me, the story of Christ and whether he lived but I guess as Lisa says if he did exsist it would be unlikely he was actually the son of god, just a man on a mission to change things smile.gif

As Ricky Gervais wisely quipped on Parkinson the other night (in the context of a discussion about whether ghosts exist!) the burden of proof is upon those who make the unsubstantiated claims.

It is not for non-believers to justify their atheism.

Bloody good point and a tad well put.
