I'm a job seeker

I was going to post a gag about flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality but it's just flogging a dead horse.

Well at the minute I assemble the tube that takes water to the jets that clean your windscreen for nissan and jaguar. Its really shit and repetitive (as you'd expect) and the moneys not very good either.

I've only been there a few weeks though and it is bearable.

I'm only there to pay off a few debts though. Once I'm back to a big fat zero I'm going back to being a full time artist. I'm in the process of organising a solo exhibition which shoud be some time in the late summer/early autumn. The problem at the minute is that by the time I get home from work I'm too tired to paint.

All of the pieces that I've sold in the past have been prediscussed commissions and all the work that I'm producing at the minute I need to keep for my show. I'm hoping to get representation on the back of my show. It's intended mainly for gallery owners etc, but it will all be for sale aswell.

Actually I've been meaning to put some work up on here for ages, to get an honest opinion. I'll do it soon, honest.

My works subject matter can vary quite alot. At the minute I'm trying to restrict myself so that it all works coherantly for the show.

Its difficult to explain, but I look at contrasts in textures and edges mostly. So I use alot of 'messy' broad brush strokes juxtaposed with very graphical images in gloss.

Jilly - You're top of my VIP invite list!

It's just I'm looking to buy a flat/house and will be on the look out for some artwork to go on the walls (I currently have a few original pieces bought in St. Ives and at the Affordable Arts Fair- Jacqueline Real is the only name I can really remember). I like abstracts with dramatic colour and alternative seascapes...

anyway I'd love to see some of your work sometime.

Nice man

I have a lot of respect for people that buy original art (it gives me beer tokens for starters).

I get really iritated by ikea prints. Some are nice but I just couldn't live with one on my wall, knowing that its on 50,000 other walls.

I'm quite partial to a bit of the St Ives school myself thumbs.gif

I am a Paralegal, which basically means that I've got a Law degree but I'm not a lawyer yet, so the real lawyers get me to do all the boring research and admin type stuff they can't be arsed to do. rolleyes.gif

I am going back to uni in september to the the Legal Practice Course, then two years as a trainee solicitor, after that I'll be qualified!

omg, i'll be 27 by then blink.gifblink.gifblink.gif

Where do you work/live?

How come you didn't train as a lawyer?

What are you going to study at uni?

What are you going to study at uni?

1) I live and work in Sheffield (at the moment)

2) i am going to train as a lawyer, which is why I'm going back to uni to do the final part in september. The reason i didn't do it straight after my degree is got i got side-tracked into other careers, then decided to go back to Law.

3) I'm doing the Legal Practice Course, which is a one year diploma you do after your degree, before doing the on-the-job training

My teenage daughter has been kidnapped, and the people I work with may be involved in both.

I'm Federal Agent Jack Bauer and this is the longest day of my life...
