My problem is work wont let me know when I can book time off yet - holiday is on hold for a bit - but defo by Dec !

I have been very very lucky. All have been holidays (extended holidays), I haven't travelled once (in a backpacker style way).

 

Mexico was amazing. The beaches are by far the most stunning I have ever seen. I stayed in Cancun and it was very touristy, loads of American students, but it was a great laugh though. I have memories from that place I will never forget, I spent a whole day scuba diving and swimming with dolphins in their natural habitat, it was a dream come true! If any of you go I'd advise to spend a week in Cancun for the sheer crazyness of the American students, go to La Boom club. Then spend a week further down at a playa and go see the Mayan ruins.

 

Egypt was again another amazing country, very spiritual (in a mummy kind of way, I cannot descibe the feeling exactly) but also very hectic. My old school mates Mum is Egyptian so she has a heap load of family over there plus two apartments. I stayed for 7 days, initially we began at Shaz's apartment in Cairo. Cairo is a nutty nutty city, think London but 10 times more hectic and busy and with pyramids in the distance! To me Cairo seemed covered in sand and had a dirty look about it, but I could not have been more wrong. We visited Shaz's family's apartments so she could introduce me, the apartments were by far the most luxurious I have ever seen but in a beautiful way. Next we headed down to Shaz's aunts beach house on the red sea, as we were driving there we saw Dolphins jumping out of the sea. The place was simply stunning, I would have to show you pictures, I felt so relaxed and at one with the world at that place. We went back to Cairo and I finished my holiday in style at a big house party. I will never ever forget that place and the feelings I picked up, it draws you in. I can't wait to go back.
