CTW Members JoeDrawb Posted February 19, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted February 19, 2004 Hello Wonder if anyone can help me ... Am wondering what program does everyone use to split their mix into individual tracks after recording it? I have got Soundforge6.0, but I can't for the life of me figure it out......I put the markers in, but it's what to do after that which confuses me. If need be, can download another program to split the tracks (MOD - would have downloaded that program u said but don't have Kazaa and can't find it elsewhere). CTW Members Mr Happy Posted February 19, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted February 19, 2004 personally i prefer nero to write the CDs and track marking. select audio cd from the apropiate options then import the complete sound file into nero. right click the cound file and then select properties: this will bring up the following window: select the 'index, limits, split' tab and this should come up: basically its the split button you want and the rest is self explanitary. it may take a short while to load the complete sound file in the oscilloscope. unfortunately you cant start playing until it is loaded. Nero is only about £6 to buy if i remember rightly so its not gonna be a dent in your bank ballence either Quote Mr Happy's fishy fish MangaFish munch munch MSN & e-mail - mangafish@mangafish.net AOL - MangaMorgan Online mixes - http://www.mangafish.net/mixes/

CTW Members JoeDrawb Posted February 20, 2004 Author CTW Members Share Posted February 20, 2004 Cheers, especially Lawrence for your step by step guide, that will come in very handy... think its much better when u get a cd and theyre split into tracks rather than havin to press the FF button 55 mins to get to the track you want. CTW Moderators Bushy Posted February 22, 2004 CTW Moderators Share Posted February 22, 2004 deffo the way lawrence says. Its so easy its unreal. Especially if you know what times you wanna bring your track splits in at. There is also a zoom button so you can get your track splits down to the second you want. I tend to track Shaney_r's cds for him as he's not too sure on how to do it. So i thank lawrence lots and lots for this. I used to do it in soundforge, but its a right headfuck. as you have to save the tracks individually and then stick them all into your cd burning program, and then hope that your program has a 'no pause between tracks' option. as some dont, but Nero does, and thats then defeating the time effort and hassle of doing it in soundforge! lol I hope that makes sense to someone as i just read it back and it did to me, but i can see people saying Anyways bollox, i'm not writing it out again! CTW Members Mr Happy Posted February 23, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted February 23, 2004 u've raised a good point that i forgot to mention: after you've split the tracks you have to set the pause time to 0. this option is found on the 2nd image i posted Quote Mr Happy's fishy fish MangaFish munch munch MSN & e-mail - mangafish@mangafish.net AOL - MangaMorgan Online mixes - http://www.mangafish.net/mixes/
