CTW Members goshow Posted October 10, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted October 10, 2004 From goshow - Sarah's brother There is no easy way for me to say this. Sarah was found dead in my friends house in Cleethorpes on Saturday. As most you know i am a Police officer with Humberside and can confirm that, at this stage, her death is being investigated as suspicious. My friend called me at about 3pm yesterday to say that he had returned home and found Sarah unconcious in the bathroom. I was on duty at the time and obviously went down there straight away. The ambulance was on scene when i got there and Sarah was already under the blankets and pronounced dead. The initial thoughts are, that she has fallen down the stairs and banged her head on a door, she has then managed to make it back up the stairs to the bathroom where the tragic event has occured. It is unknown at this stage whether she fell, slipped or was pushed down the stairs. Under no circumstances are my mates suspects at this stage. I will keep you updated with any new news. I fully appreciate that i don't know many of you from this or any of the other sites she regulary visitted, but if you could all pass the message to anyone who knows Sarah, i would be very gratefull. Sarah was a very close friend of mine and always someone that be prepared to listen to me when i had problems. I'm very sorry to hear of this tragic event. She will be missed a lot. I cant believe this I only rang her up last Thursday night to catch up about skiing and other things, unfortunately she didn't answer and later I had some missed calls from her - I wished I'd heard the calls. I'd only just sent her an email today as well as I'd heard she'd had a car accident and she hasn't had the best of luck this year 😟 I'm totally speechless as this isn't sinking in at all. Sarah was one of the most generous people I've met and always giving me and others sound advice on personal issues. She was so full of life and energy and always insisting that people came out with us travelling to new clubs - she gave clubbers she hardly knew lifts regularly down to London and other areas to enjoy the weekend - she loved socialising but loved seeing other people enjoy themselves even more. She was always sorting out tickets & free guestlists for people - on a few occasions she even forgot how many she'd given out and ended up forking out of her own pocket to cover it. Sarah donated a lot of time to this site and the clubbing scene and formed countless friendships. Its very difficult to take on board the fact I won't be seeing her again 😟 James - I will ring you soon if that is alright with you - you probably want some time to sort things out. For those who didn't know Sarah well / what she looked like I've put some of the many great photos of her here ... Guest Posted October 10, 2004 Share Posted October 10, 2004 Oh no She had recently been in some car accidents aswell and she was only telling us the other day om another board that she is hoping her luck will change sometime soon Don't know what to say really, as it's very hard to take this in and it's very shocking considering we all know Sarah and have had so many fun times with her. A woman so full of life and alot to live for. It's sad and very hard to accept the fact she has fallen asleep for good Thoughts go out to you, family and friends. CTW DJs Chris Hutchinson Posted October 10, 2004 CTW DJs Share Posted October 10, 2004 Gotta say im in complete shock at what I have just read - Sarah was a down to earth and friendly kind of person that made clubbing so great... its such a shame this has happened and so my thoughts go out to her family at what must be a horrible time right now Goshow - Sarah helped me when I organised the world dj fund 2004 charity event @ incision back in April, so if there is ANY WAY AT ALL that I can help you with the rememberence event if it goes ahead, please dont hesitate to ask - its the least I can do after all the help she gave!! Can't say how sorry I am to hear of this sad news. Sarah probably had more energy and enthusiasm than any other person I have met... a wonderful person always had a great passion for music, clubbing and having a great time, she will be missed. Paul. CTW Members Jana Posted October 10, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted October 10, 2004 I am really sorry to hear about Sarah, my thoughts go out to her family & friends. I met Sarah for the first time in Camden Palace a couple of years ago. Few weeks later she had a set for me in Leeds for Casulty (CTW). Sarah has helped me in many ways and was always supportive and helpfull. Last time we met was in Goodgreef, she was surprised to see us there. I remember she had her arm in a sling, even thou she must have been in pain...still determined to enjoy herself. It made our night as we didnt know many people there and she took time out to make us feel more at home and part of her group of friends. Even thou we met each other briefly, we have had some great times and it was always a pleasure to meet her when clubbing.
