Surely if your insurance papers are dated after the event, you're in trouble.

well i just reckon if im in trouble i am anyway. couldnt really still drive about with no insurance. just have too sit and wait and see

Driving without insurance - Fine upto £5,000 - Ban, Discretionary - Points 6-8

I let Alex drive my car home from work with me in the passenger seat in 2001. Got stopped by those nice men with the big helmets!!! Alex wasn't insured, but I got fined £180 and got 6 points for letting him drive!
