Black Watch in Iraq

I have been in iraq, i had an amazing time, butwhy the fuck were the Black Watch sent to the camp that they are at?????

 

 

tony blair is so wrong for sending them there. they should have been home last week after their their long summer tour!!! now 4 soldiers have died for no reason!

 

Basra is a relatively safe place, the shia muslims were hapy for us to be in their city to help them, now the black watch are so far out of our Area of Opeatios(AO) . let the americans fuck up their area and let us british handle the south! we have a different way of patroling and controling the south to the way that the americans do, hearts and minds is what its is called, low profile, less intimidating to what THEY do! up untill the black watch deployed to the north of iraq,they had a pretty safe tour, now thwy havehad 4 killed inless than a week!!! i have see a report saying they are expecting 20% casualties whilst they are up in the north, and as a senior black watch officer said, " we expect every lunatic to have a go at us"(email to his family) why? those men have died for no reason. in basra we did a good job, the people were happy for us to be there to help them, now i can see there will be a lot more casualties for no reason

 

 

 

 

sorry for this post. just a very personal thing that i feel. i have friends stilll in iraq, and i have heard i will be going back maybe in 2006. i am not bothered about going back at all. the americans have 140,000 troops in iraq, why do they need 650 british soldiers to move up north?????????

 

 

tony blair will have a hell of a lot of trouble on his hands very soon!!!! i can see it coming. and to think this government want to amalgamate the black watch when they retun to england. that has to be the final insult to them. they have an amazing history and they deserve to continue as a full batalion.
