Is it legal to put up a mix ? >>>>NO Is it legal if you put up a mix with a listing ? >>>NO Are there licence fees to pay ? >>>YES If you upload a mix, you can be taken to court unless you pay royalties to the labels whose tracks have been used The good news however, is that most of em wont bother - seems only Tidytrax and the Next Generation labels (Next Gen/Blatant Beats/Stimulant Records) care about it, and will take action over it, in the hard dance scene (dont know about others tho)

thought i should stick this in here too.... just got back from a week ibiza ... wow!!! at the moment im sort of depressed and really missing the place and people i met!! what a week!!! we arrived on sunday 2 of us decided to go to judgement sunday and the other 2 went of to space. they say space was great with sasha playing. judgement sunday wasnt all that good. i was reather messy that night. it was just like being in england really with the number of english people in there and so many drunks even on the way in monday was a rest day and took a look at some of the island and the place around us. tues was godskitchen back at eden and again it was packed with english people. the music was loads better than sunday tho. wed we went to pacha for subliminal sessions with darren emmerson, xpress2 and dirty vegas - the croud was alot more mixed...more spanish and italians... most of which looked down there nose at the english in there. thursday was the best night i have had in my life .. i went to cream....ALONE :-( to start with i was a little nervous at going alone but as soon as i got there it was sure to be a great night. i saw some of the people i had met earlier in the week at godskitchen and judgement sunday and also met an american backpacker who had lost her friend in there, we spend most of the night together as we were both in the same boat(alone). the people in there were from all over the world. the atmosphere was amazing, so many cultures brought together. tiesto and picotto were playing - both were awesome!!! such a top night with so many memories i shall keep with me forever!! - wish i was still there!! friday i went to a club called new club called INOX - this place is the perfect hard house club on the island. storm/passion hard/sundissential/nukleuz/frantic have club nights there. the only is that there were only about 50 people there!!!!! whats going on??!!?? any1 visiting the island should go here on a friday night!!! water prices were dangerous! they were 6 euros for a bottle. the bottles were about 1/2 the size of them over here!!! i didnt seem to spend loads on water tho. the clubs werent overly warm. just as long as u take breaks u will be fine. u wont be dancing all night anyway. there is too much to see and so many different people to talk to. make sure you go to mambo/bar m and coastline for the pre parties and sunset. we went almost every night, most nights were almost as good as the clubs. on the tuesday night pete tong played 'under the water' by brother brown... just sat there on the beach listening to this made the hairs stand up on my back, that was one of the best moments ever and i hadnt even taken anything at the time all i can say is the island is amazing!!! cafe mambo, del mar, different people from different cultures....this island is truly magical. the only down side i can see is having to come home [ 12 August 2002, 09:10: Message edited by: CreamyC ]
