  2. After 11 years of waiting, Xfer Records has finally released Serum 2! The legendary wavetable synthesizer has been completely redesigned and expanded with numerous new features. While the original is known for its clear sound quality, intuitive operation and flexible sound design, the new version takes the concept to an even higher level with new features. And that’s really impressive after the first version! In addition to an improved oscillator architecture and expanded effects routing options, Serum 2 now offers an arpeggiator and clip sequencer that greatly enhance the creative workflow. Most importantly, the update is free for all existing Serum users – a move that impressively underscores Xfer Records’ promise of lifetime updates. Wow! ... 6. By Paddy from Kernzy & Klemenza CK2 "RUSHIN" (Recharge) First off is a joint project with ourselves and Alex Calver. Now, all 3 of us have quite varied musical backgrounds so we tried to do something a bit different, something that would stand out in a set and i think we managed it in the end. I think the best way to describe this tune is Hard House with Techno, Speed Garage & Hip Hop influence, if you can imagine it. DMF "PALPATATION" (Recharge) A tune like this has been needed for a while, no nonsense Hard House how it should be. A monster kick, crisp rolling percusion, thobbing off beat bassline & razor shap stabs along with clever use of the familiar "Wop Bam Boogie" vocal. Anybody that was into 91/92 hardcore should love this record as its got a real old ravey feel to it! COLIN B "YOU KNOW" (CDR) Colins been knocking em out just lately but not at the expense of quality and this tunes proves that, tight percussion as usual from Mr B along with good use of effects and an arrangement that keeps you head on its toes if you know what i mean. The main thing we like about this track is the fact that its very unpredictable & not run of the mill stuff. been getting asked about this loads over the last few weeks. - out soon on Retek PROJECT MAYHEM "TAKE HOLD" (Short Circuit) Number 4 for Justin Bourne's label this time courtesy of south coast duo Project Mayhem.some really gritty sounding stabs on offer here on top of a kinda chuggy bassline. Ive seen the most pretty face's screw up as their dancing away to this one. another proper hard house tune, one for the 'must-have' list. ALEX CALVER & CHRISTIAAN "KICK BACK" (Glitch) Recently featured on the "Music For A Harder Generation" album from Anne Savage, this tune is a belter! Intense Tech-Fuck-Core with ass shaking percussion topped with bin-worrying bassline and clever use of a familar vocal. Deffinitely one of the best hard house / techno crossover tunes in a while. First release from Alex's new label 'Glitch' - a label to be watching this year i reckon! PAPUA NEW GUINEA (Bootleg) Im surprised this has'nt happened sooner really, first impression when i saw this was "Its gonna be hard to improve on the orriginal" but i think that out of the various legit remixs ive heard (have to say the D&B one is wicked), this record definitely has 2 of the better ones. Both mixes feature techy percussion, monster basslines and clever drop outs & its clear that they have'nt been just thown together to make a few quid. ( i reckon somebody should mix it with a Madona track.... then they could call it - "PAPUA DONT PREACH" . no? - ok i'll get me coat ) PAUL GLAZBY "FUCKING HOSTILE" (Vicious) No 20 for Paul's now legendary label and good to see that he's not ashamed of his past by sampling one of his old favourite's 'Pantera' (Think thats right anyway!) this tune should spear head the well needed hoover revival with full force and just by the name alone you should know what to expect from this monster. INGO "48 HOURS" (Tidy) After a quiet few months Ingo (who has long since hung up his bouncy off-beat gloves) has come back and delivered the goods yet again with this track which i think showcases his new adopted sound. This time things are a lot more percussive more dark & deeper but still rolling enough to keep the dance floor busy. been playing this a lot, quiet different sounding.
  7. Hey everyone, used to be here a loooooong time ago (my old profile is in the post below...but i have no idea which email address it is linked to ) Any of the old members still about? I still have some fun memories of playing the CTW event in London all those years ago (can still picture James' big grin when I dropped "Devils Plaything" by Weirdo ) Anyway, randomly stumbled back here while looking for my old mixes... lost everything years ago and had wondered if any links still worked (seems to not be the case). Decks and vinyls all gone since 2007 just after I moved to Japan so that was the end of my mixing unfortunately.
  8. No complaints here, thanks :)

  13. Not just you. I will be there and you have my number.
  14. Tell me about it. I didn’t think I would enjoy clubbing anymore but when I went to passion that all changed. Absolutely loving it. Feels weird being the sober one who drives mostly but occasionally get hotels so I can have a drink. I still hardly leave the dance floor 😂 is anyone else going with you or just you?
  15. Can’t wait to see you. It’s been a long long time.

OK where to start. So I started clubbing around 2001 when a good friend I worked with took me to a Trance event in Milton Keynes. I met some really great people and found my love of the music. Trance came first and then Hard House. A year on I was pregnant and gave up for a while losing contact with anyone I met. Being a single mum I found it difficult to meet new people especially those with a love for the music and the bug to go out and dance. I found CTW and wrote my first post on January 25th 2003. I was looking for like minded people and new friendships but what I found was a whole lot more. There was drama, passion, friendships and even love. I met some fantastic people through this website and have stayed friends with many of them despite us all growing up and leading our normal lives. Many of us settling down, marrying and having children. I met my first real love and many of my real friendships through this website and had some fantastic times and a whole host of memories that have lasted. I met DJ's, Producers, visited cities and clubs I had never been to before, experienced weekenders and without CTW I never would have had all that, It was a place where you did not need local friends to go to a club with because we all met up before the events and went together. Everyone was so welcoming and real friendships were formed. My hope is that this place can be that once again, Maybe not for us old timers who for many cant go out as often as we would like but to give the new generation the same thing we all had. Organised meetups which were safe and welcoming, friendships so you didn't feel alone, romances and love. We were one big family There was also plenty of arguments, hatred, nastiness, heart break, etc. Some of which I had a big part of but I had real friendships and some of those friendships have lasted the past 16 years. For the parts I played and I think there was plenty I am sorry Like many I was young, naive and pretty messed up in the head at the time. At the same time I had support through some of the darkest times, No one turned their back on you and they told you if you was out of line even if you didn't want to hear it. CTW was a safe place for me and the people I met will always hold a special place in my heart. I hope all the new people who read this can get the same experience as I had because without all of the CTW family I would not be the person I am now. So I was about to name everyone but there are too many to list so to all those over the years Thank you for the memories, For kicking my butt into touch, for putting up with me and for the lasting friendships ever since. Because truly you do not know what it means to me. Now I will shut up cause I cant half talk some waffle, That certainly hasn't changed.
  17. Haha you know that !!!

Danny Roberts – Pure Exile (April ’08 Techno/Tech House/Minimal Mix) This is the latest mix I have done, and one of the promo cds I will be taking out with me to Ibiza for the summer. Its a big combo of different levels and styles of the tech based music I can play, all around 130bpm and giving a lot of groovy, tough techy vibes. This mix has combines techno with minimal, tribal and tech house to provide a cool ass shaker of a mix! 29. HARDCORE EUPHORIA 3xCD MIXED BY SY & UNKNOWN, DOUGAL & GAMMER AND BRISK & HAM Release Date – October 16th 2006 Euphoria, the market leaders of UK Trance and Hard House embark on a journey into a genre of frenetic, high energy, rave fuelled music… the hedonistic world of Hardcore! Gathering 6 of the most successful and high profile DJs of the Hardcore generation, Euphoria makes its first foray into Hardcore with extreme force. 5 legends of the scene and 1 young upstart have been carefully selected to showcase the full range of hardcore – from bouncy vocal anthems to pounding gabber cuts, it’s all here. No classics, no fillers – just a whopping 67 tracks of the most upfront, exclusive hardcore anthems, remixes, and re-edits. The DJs who mixed this compilation have been enthusing to us for weeks, telling us how excited they are about the imminent release of this massive compilation. Brisk & Ham had so much hot material that they had to cram 30 tracks onto their disc, Dougal thinks his disc with young prodigy Gammer is the best mix he’s ever done, and Sy & Unknown had to take a couple of Valiums after they mixed theirs to calm them down! So without further ado, let’s get into the juicy details and have a look at the tracklists! Sy & Unknown - CD1 The bounce is back! Two veterans of the scene round up a whole host of joyous hardcore from their own label Quosh – featuring no less than 15 of their new productions. New talents DJ Kurt and Joey Riot join the fold alongside some updated versions of Quosh classics on this first disc. You know the score – it’s fast, bouncy, and the vocals and pianos are in full effect. The happy hardcore sound updated for a new generation – with added phatness for extra effect. Audiolush – Feel The Power (Sy & Unknown remix) Paradise – Angel (Sy & Unknown remix) Amie Jayne - We Feel So High (Sy & Unknown remix) Pulsonix – Lift Me Up (Sy & Unknown remix) Nysse & Hinton feat Pascale - Silver Water (Sy & Unknown remix) Fracus & Gavin G – Run From Me (Sy & Unknown remix) Audiolush – Take Me Away (Sy & Unknown remix) Jamie Ritmen – Amnesia (Sy & Unknown remix) Insight – If That’s Alright With You 2006 Joey Riot – Jumpin’ Pumpin’ Rocco – I Don’t Know (Sy & Unknown remix) Sy & Unknown feat. Lou Lou - Dancing In The Shadows Content X – You Heal Me (Sy & Unknown remix) Sy & Unknown – Dangerzone Sy & Unknown – Product Of The Devil 2006 DJ Kurt – Beatz Control Sy & Unknown feat. Lou Lou - Just Close Your Mind Sy & Unknown - Closer To Heaven Sy & Unknown - Make It Bounce (Joey Riot & DJ Kurt remix) Dandy Crouch feat Shelly - Emotions & Dreams (Kurt remix) Dougal & Gammer – CD2 aka The Master and The Apprentice. With the helping of hardcore pioneer Dougal, Gammer has become one of the most inspiring production talents the scene has ever heard. On the other hand, Gammer has helped to push Dougal’s sound into a tougher direction – with this long-standing legend now producing dirtier, darker cuts alongside the big spine-tingling moments he is known for. In a rare back-to-back appearance, this dynamic duo have absolutely smashed it to bits. All killers – no fillers! Gammer & Cat Knight – A New Feeling (Let It Shine) Dougal & Gammer – Deadbeat Dougal, Gammer & Jenna – When I Close My Eyes Dougal & Gammer – The Beat, The Bass Dougal, Gammer & Lisa Abbot – Stop The Clock Squad-E – My Direction (Essential Platinum Remix) Dougal & Gammer – This Is A Virus Kurt – Space Odyssey 2006 Dougal, Gammer & Lisa Marie – Heaven Calls Trinity – In Dreams (Essential Platinum Remix) Dougal and Gammer – Pump Up The Noise 2006 DJ Fear and Lisa Abbot – Don’t Walk Away Dougal & Gammer – Brainstorm Styles, Dougal and Lisa Marie – Still The One (Gammers Muffin Mix) United In Dance – Boom Daka Marc Smith & Gammer – Pump This Party Cube::Hard – Music Of The Primes (Gammer Edit) Transit – Count The Hours (Essential Platinum Marmite)

DJ at Serious, Goodgreef, Passion, WiLDCHiLD, Sensoria & more... Radio Broadcasts on Trance Air Waves, Global DJ Broadcast, BPM Radio, Soundstation & more... Well it has been a busy few months so far since the beginning of 2004. As you may know, Genix and I now run our own record label - Trance Revolution Recordings (TRR), we are very busy in the studio with productions, i'm pushing more and more at new nights for DJing, and I still hold onto a fulltime job in between! As i say..... busy times!! Read on to find out more: The Record Label Trance Revolution Recordings had massive success with the debut release - "Havannah" - which really set the label off to a cracking start and instantly gave the TRR brand some credibility in these difficult times for Record labels. The 2nd track which is by Genix and I entitled "Oracle - Aries", is hitting the shelves of record shops worldwide as you read this. We've had awesome feedback from DJ's all over the World, and "Aries" has been regularly heard on Radio shows both online and normal broadcast. TRR003 will be on its way to the key players within the next few weeks now and will definitely cement the TRR name in people's heads. "Auriane - Soundwave" is a track by Armada's Perry O'Neil & Ferruccio Trebaldi and comes with a fantastic remix by Genix. As for future release on TRR, see the list below. Please keep an eye on the TRR website for changes and updates!! Forthcoming releases on TRR: TRR003 Auriane - Soundwave TRR004 Whirlpool & Octagen - Alaska TRR005 Genix & Andy Bagguley pres. Oracle - Eclipse TRR006 Kyamoto - Frosted The Production As previously mentioned, Genix and I are currently very busy in the studio. Following on from our first 2 tunes: "Oracle - The One" on Equilibrium Records and "Oracle - Aries" on our own TRR label; we have nearly finished our 3rd project entitled "Oracle - Eclipse". We have both been playing an unfinshed version a few times and getting some great feedback, hence we have decided to put this out on TRR as release #5. We have recently finished our Remix of the MASSIVE "Ozone - Rock" for Gesture Records. "Oracle's Trance Revolution Remix" will be promoing soon along with new vocal mixes. We have some more remix work coming up so please keep ya ears peeled. The DJing This year has seen many more doors open for me as a DJ. As well as my regular slot at Passion @ Emporium, I have so far played at Goodgreef @ Philips Park Hall, Serious @ The Cross, Club Lipa in Slovenia, Existence, Frisky @ Legends, Hotdog and more. This year has seen a massive rise in my online DJing also. I now hold a monthly show on Trance Air Waves (tranceairwaves.com), as well as featuring regularly on DI:FM (di.fm), Soundstation 351 (soundstation351.net), Global DJ Broadcast (globaldjbroadcast.com) and more. I have also done a series of mixes recently for Radio shows around the UK on normal broadcasts. In April I had a guest mix on Vibe101 FM for Big Al from Escape in Swansea and a guest mix on Galaxy FM for Paul Kershaw. Both mixes got some great reactions! On May 28th I have a guest mix and chat on Galaxy again but with Andi Durrant this time! As for future club bookings, I have some great gigs coming up; many new nights as well as all my residencies around the UK. A massive night for me that i'm really looking forward to is the combination of 2 massive clubs: Wildchild & Slinky!! These 2 clash on Sunday May 30th at the legendary venue 'Heaven' in London with a great line-up of DJ's including Guy Ornadel, Lange, Lisa Lashes, BK, Riley & Durrant, Reece Elliot v Guffy, JFK, Brisky, Andy Bagguley and more. See links at bottom of page for more details. On the same night as that, i'm also playing at Frisky v Passion in Northampton, so a hectic night is definitely on the cards. Keep an eye on my diary page of my website for more bookings as they are confirmed. Reviews Just as a quick reminder to all you industry people out there, I now review records / CD's for the massive online magazine 'I:Vibes' (ivibes.nu). Please get all your new tracks over to me as soon as you can and I will try my best to review as many as possible. Well thats it from me for now. I'll finish off with a quick selection of my current favourite tunes. Thanks for taking the time out to read what is happening in my world. Please get in touch if you have any questions, booking requests or general enquiries. DJ Freano We first met DJ Freano (Robin Frean) in Brighton when we paid The Honeyclub a visit back in March! A few days after meeting him he registered with us here at ClubTheWorld and has given us untold amounts of information about clubs and DJ's! We met up with him again for the Gatecrasher event at the NEC Birmingham in April and on meeting him halfway he gave us a mini-disc with what he had mixed! I can tell you now that both me and James couldn't believe what we were hearing, the mixing was absolutely superb, the tracks were fantastic and it was an ideal warm-up for the Gatecrasher event, this was ClubTheWorld.uk Volume 1 and hopefully very soon we will be able to download it onto this site where everyone else can listen to his excellent work! He is currently working on ClubTheWorld.uk Volume 2 which should be ready soon, once again we will keep you fully updated on this! DJ Freano also has his own website where you can see what hes up to and where he'll be playing at www.aptrecordings.com it also has other useful bits of information! We are pleased to say that DJ Freano is fully on board with us here at ClubTheWorld continually providing us with very useful information and is also now the CTW Rep for Brighton! We're gonna here alot more from Rob when he gets more dates and venues when hes playing! DJ Tony P DJ Tony P. only registered with ClubTheWorld a few weeks ago and since then he has kept us updated on where hes playing! Coincidently he was playing at Smile @ The Viaduct on Saturday 25th May when we were due to be paying a visit! His set on Saturday was superb, some top tunes were being played out to keep both myself and the crowd happy! It must be a dream to have your name shouted out when you're banging out the tunes as they were at The Viaduct! Tony has even got his own Residency at a club (sorry, cant remember the name!) in Stevenage, Herts which begins in October with the likes of Graham Gold and after his set at The Viaduct I am not suprised, it was awesome! There will be more dates lined up over the coming weeks and Tony has said he will keep us at ClubTheWorld informed of future dates he will be playing! I've heard this guy and like Rob can say that its definately worth going to see him whenever you can make it! The best thing about these two guys is that they are quality people who I'm know will go far! ClubTheWorld will do everything possible to help these guys and every other new DJ thats just starting to make it out, they have our total support and will be with them every step of the way to make sure they get to the very top!!! Thank you once again to both DJ Freano and DJ Tony P who have provided us with invaluable information! We aim to return the favour to you to make sure to get there!!! Cheerz guys!!!!!

it's just getting stupid now, people come on and post events or spam, who don't ever bother to make any other contributions to the board. and then they just go and repeat themselves and post the same details in random bollocks, with something like "hey all u mad clubberz!! is anyone going to CrapNight at CrapVenue???" or "join this competition, it's grreat!! i don't work for the company that runs it, honest!!!" have a dedicated spam forum then all the event suggestions posts from non-members can go in there, then everyone's happy - people can still check the spam forum for ideas of places to go, and promoters can still post. if you're needing someone to do it then i will happily volunteer.
